| Content and framework conditions of the project work |
| The initiative was founded
in: 1997 |
| The initiative was founded
because of the following reasons: The
initiative came about while gathering ideas on women's health in connection with the
"Healthy Cities Project" and the "Year of the Senior Citizen". |
| Target group(s): |
Women about to terminate their working life due to age
or health reasons, and women who no longer have family obligations. |
| Targets: |
Preparation for "retirement"; alternatives to
professional work; improvement of the quality of life; communication of what is on offer
and what is not. |
| Details of the work done by
the initiative: Regular meetings take place
with experts from the various institutions involved in the Round Table "Working
Life" in preparation for the event.
In the course of women's discussion groups, women from the different institutions describe
what value their "honorary" work has had for them and why they got involved in
it. Other women are to be encouraged to do something similar, to discover possibilities of
contributing the skills they have acquired in life. |
