Status of the initiative: The initiative is an initiative aimed at improving equal opportunities for older women through an organisation that pursues objectives which are independent of gender or age.

Content and framework conditions of the project work
The initiative was founded in: 1983
The initiative was founded because of the following reasons:

This so-called Women's Competence Centre aims to improve women's education opportunities so as to combat gender-specific disadvantages.

Target group(s): The target group for the courses is women in the third phase of life
Targets: By looking at different themes from a woman's point of view, we aim to strengthen women's competence and create women's networks.
Details of the work done by the initiative:

We publish two 6-month study programmes containing all the courses of offer, including 1-2 courses for older women.
In the course "60 years old ... and a bit wiser?" women are encouraged to come to terms with their wishes for their old age, in keeping with the motto: If no acceptable image of a women in her later years exists, then let us create our old age ourselves!
