for a limited period of time: The cooperation between the Berlin public services institutions responsible for women's affairs between March - December 1999 existed solely for the purposes of organising and documenting the event that took place on 15 September 1999 |

| Target group(s): | Older women leading an active everyday life | ||||||||
| Targets: | The event was designed so as to draw older womens' attention to the resources they have in their old age. Another goal was to illustrate possibilities for organising their everyday activities and thus achieving greater satisfaction in life. | ||||||||

the initiative: Meetings were held before and
after the Women Senior Citizens Day. |

has achieved: The reaction of both the participants and the press to the events was positive. |

initiative has been faced during its work: We cannot provide the target group with a continual programme because we have to deal with too many different tasks. Another problem is financial insecurity, for example, we had no funds to document the event. |

group concerning the conception, planning and implementation of the initiative's work: The target group of older women organised part of the day's events themselves by introducing existing projects and initiatives carried out by women senior citizens, performing a dramatic piece, and by taking part in the panel discussion. |
