| The initiative was founded
in: 1984 |
| The initiative was founded
because of the following reasons: Recognition
of the consequences of the demographic changes taking place in our society contributed to
the creation of this initiative. |
| Target group(s): |
All women who are prepared to work on a voluntary basis
"for me - with others - for others" |
| Targets: |
Maintaining social contacts with each other and for
each other |
| Details of the work done by
the initiative: Women between 50 and 83 meet
together here. They maintain contact with each other and learn more about socio-political
affairs. They work in a home for the elderly where for the past 16 years they have been
running a one-on-one care service for the residents. Group members have been responsible
for founding the Alzheimer Society and the Hospice Movement in Münster, as well as a
discussion circle, "Living in Old Age", and the National Network of Older Women. |

initiative has been faced during its work: The
financial situation as regards further education is very bad. |
| Participation of the target

| Co-operation: Since 1999 we have been co-operating with the Landesseniorenvertretung
Nordrhein-Westfalen (North Rhine-Westphalia Senior Citizens Council) This co-operation
serves above all to create contacts and to learn about activities in North
Rhine-Westphalia. |
