Content and framework conditions of the project work
The initiative was founded in: 1997
The initiative was founded because of the following reasons:
Target group(s): Women 50 or older and women senior citizens who like to act and who want to explore the possibilities of their own creativity.
Targets: - To help overcome the frustration caused by the loss of a job or of a partner;
-To encourage other women to find similar alternatives, not to give up, to become and to remain active;
-To overcome loneliness.
Details of the work done by the initiative:

In 1997, under the guidance of theatre and dance professionals, we formed a work group, searched for and found actresses, and put together a drama revue which reflects more than five decades of Leipzig life. After regular rehearsals, the revue premiered in Leipzig in October 1998. Since then we have put on numerous performances.
In 1998 the theatre project was augmented by the addition of a series of shadow plays under the motto " Female Pleasures and Frustrations II". The goal of the project was to reach more women over 45 who might want to get up on the stage but did not have the courage to do so. In May 1998 a one-day workshop with 20 participants was held.

Areas of work of the initiative:
Leisure/sport
Social contacts
Success that the initiative has achieved:

The revue was a big hit with the audience.

Problems that the initiative has been faced during its work:
Participation of the target group concerning the conception, planning and implementation of the initiative's work:

The texts were written by the participants themselves, and the performances were put on with the help of professionals.
