Content and framework conditions of the project work
The initiative was founded in: 1974
The initiative was founded because of the following reasons:

The Women's Rights League was founded to combat sexual discrimination and to promote women's rights.

The initiative was founded to bring together women who have reached a certain age and who are lonely, in an atmosphere of friendliness and sociability.

Target group(s): Women teachers, professors, researchers, feminists and in general all women seeking new social contacts.
Targets: To provide women, especially those over 50, with the opportunity of making social contacts and carrying out projects with other women.
Details of the work done by the initiative:

These annual get-togethers, which we would like to develop into monthly occasions, create contact networks for isolated women through their participating in the gala evenings with their festive dinners - based on feminist ideas, consciousness and thought. Feminism is especially relevant to the women of this age group, whether they were active feminists in the 70's or witnesses of those days. This initiative is part of the League's work which stretches over many years.

Areas of work of the initiative:
Leisure/sport
Social contacts
Success that the initiative has achieved:

The extremely positive feedback from the participants and the press. Incentives to start other initiatives.

Problems that the initiative has been faced during its work:

Of a financial nature.

Participation of the target group concerning the conception, planning and implementation of the initiative's work:

Through calls for personal commitment, to help organise the initiative together and to create further initiatives against loneliness.
