Content and framework conditions of the project work
The initiative was founded in: 1995
The initiative was founded because of the following reasons:

The Panthers have developed a "rust-proofing plan" whose goal is to counteract negative attitudes to growing old.

Target group(s): Women over 50 - elderly women, or women in need of care or nursing.
Targets: To draw practical consequences from the recognition that old age should be lived positively and thus to avoid a negative attitude to growing old.
Details of the work done by the initiative:

We offer "Rust-proofing Half Days" for the elderly, frequently followed up with a do-it-yourself workshop. Following our initiative's philosophy, we deal with questions such as
- How do I prevent rusting of my neurones? (modern technology, Scrabble, reading);
-How do I prevent my body rusting? (physical exercise, a healthy diet, health);
-How to prevent rusting as a member of society. And how to be an active retiree. (Voluntary work, homework supervision).

Areas of work of the initiative:
Leisure/sport
Political participation
Social contacts
Education
Health
Active retirement
Success that the initiative has achieved:

Contented club members. Our special way of doing things.

Problems that the initiative has been faced during its work:

Still of a financial nature! Financial support from local government and other official sources is sometimes pathetic.

Participation of the target group concerning the conception, planning and implementation of the initiative's work:

We do not expect it.

Co-operation:

With the respective senior citizens' clubs.
