Content and framework conditions of the project work
The initiative was founded in: 1996
The initiative was founded because of the following reasons:

The initiative arose from the desire to start a cross-generational ecological campaign involving the French Grey Panthers and schoolchildren.

We always act according to the principle of versatility in all that we do: our financial resources are very slender and scarcely allow us to carry out big projects. On the other hand, thanks to our commitment and to our volunteer officials, we can get a lot of small things done: activities that cost little but have a great effect.

The initiative was founded for a limited period of time:

The initiative was limited to 5 days, i.e. to the duration of the exhibition where we carried it out.

Target group(s): Women over 50 and schoolchildren between 10 and 11.
Targets: Not to pass the Earth on to our grandchildren as a dustbin: grandmothers who are convinced of the necessity for this form of education are raising schoolchildren's ecological consciousness.
Details of the work done by the initiative:

Making contacts during the exhibition and then creating a huge fresco: older women and children dipped their hands in paint and imprinted them on a picture that had previously been painted with flowers and butterflies. The resulting work of art was put on exhibition in a school. The point was to raise people's ecological consciousness, to demonstrate that children and older people are all responsible for the environment, in the full knowledge of the necessity of preventing our Earth from being turned into a dustbin.

Areas of work of the initiative:
Social contacts
Education
Ecology
Success that the initiative has achieved:

The picture was displayed for a whole month in the school! We also received a large number of letters from enthusiastic schoolchildren. The fact that the whole exercise made the children and senior citizens very happy is also an indication of its success. But what will remain...?

Problems that the initiative has been faced during its work:

Mostly financial problems! Paints, paper - all the materials we used - were expensive.

Participation of the target group concerning the conception, planning and implementation of the initiative's work:

Creating a picture together.

Co-operation:

With the school that displayed the finished picture.
