| Abstract: This report deals with the situation of older female employees in Austria,
while also making a comparative study of the situation of men and women. It highlights
labour market policy trends and strategies, such as, for example, the legal pension entry
age, possibilites of early retirement, measures promoting employment and the
re-integration into the labour market of older women, the promotion of so-called part-time
and flexible retirement. It also describes develoments in companies and branches of the
economy, i.e., personnel re-structuring by means of early retirment, company strategies
and internal group regulations. Finally, it points to perspectives for older employees and
goes into the risk of unemployment and the Opportunities of being re-employed, the size of
pensions, and access to training and further training. |
