| Abstract: The point of departure for this contribution is the fact that despite the increasing wealth in the developed industrialised societies, many women do not enjoy economic security. Old age insurance and social welfare reforms are analysed with a view to equality between men and women, with special attention being given to poverty among women in old age, insurance principles and just benefits, as well as political demands by women for a reform of pension schemes. |
