| Abstract: In a study entitled the "Norwegisches Klimakteriumsprojekt"
(Norwegian Climacteric Project), the author discovered that many women between 45 and 60
are socially "invisible" and in particular are there to serve others: to nurse
their own parents and to respond to the demands of their children. Many women feel lonely,
inhibited, and misunderstood.
The book presents typical biographies of this generation of women and points out ways they
can regain self-confidence and satisfy their own needs. |
